We are a volunteer organization dedicated to finding new homes for lost and abandoned as well as turned-in Golden Retrievers in the Ocean, Atlantic and Monmouth area. We are looking for people to help in the following way:

Foster Homes : We need foster homes to house Goldens while in our program. By serving as a foster, you are giving a Golden Retriever a safe and loving environment while he or she awaits permanent adoption. Perhaps you or a friend would like to have a dog, but just don't want the full-time responsibility of a pet. Fostering is a great way to fill that need! Fostering is especially fulfilling for “empty-nesters,” senior citizens, and even singles who live in apartments. Provide a foster home and you can make a difference in the life of a Golden Retriever!

Donations : We need donations of money and supplies. As our adoption fees do not cover our costs, we are dependent on donations from the public to fund our rescue program. We can always use cash, but also accept donations of food, bowls, toys, towels, blankets, collars and leashes … just about any item related to the care and maintenance of a Golden. We also need items to help cover our administrative costs. These would include pre-paid phone cards, stamps, and/or gift certificates to cover items such as printing costs. Shore Hearts is a 501(c)(3) organization-filed. All contributions are tax deductible.
